Human Resources Intern - Huntington, WV

J.H. Fletcher & Co., worldwide manufacturer of large mobile equipment, has an immediate opening for a HR/Risk Management Intern in Huntington, West Virginia. This position will assist in all functional areas of the Risk Management Department; Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, Products Liability/Legal, and Environmental. The position will have an emphasis on Human Resources.

Basic functions of the internship include but are not limited to:

• Providing general assistance in various aspects of employment.

• Assisting in preparing and submitting various reports (OSHA, EPA, EEO, etc.)

• Filing/recordkeeping and other administrative tasks

• Products liability discovery

• Drafting documents

• Communicate with employees to help Risk Management resolve issues

• Take meeting notes

• Other duties as assigned

The internship will require a student who is actively pursuing a degree with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Legal, or related field. Must be able to traverse around plant and lift 25 pounds. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
