J.H. Fletcher & Co., a manufacturer of underground mining machinery, has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for monitoring the accounts payable process and working closely with our accounts payable clerk(s) to ensure timely and appropriate payment of invoices. There are additional duties typically handled by accounting departments to support company operations.

Primary responsibilities:

• Overseeing the Accounts Payable function.

• Reviewing vendor statements and resolving discrepancies and issues.

• Reviewing, reconciling, and paying monthly credit card accounts.

• Producing monthly reports and assisting with month-end closing.

• Communicating with customers and other J.H. Fletcher & Co. personnel.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Accountant Job Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Good communication abilities to interact effectively with vendors/customers and internal teams.
