The Fletcher dual-head model DDR-WT roof bolter brings walk-thru safety to lower coal seams, cutting operator exposure to unstable ribs. It is a 36”-high production bolter, with masts that also tilt for truss and rib installations and for tramming. Today’s units include wider walkways with fewer obstructions, and boom area that better accommodates kneeling operators.

“Recent development of lower coal seams, particularly in the Appalachian Region, brings added geological challenges. We wanted to bring walk-thru technology to those mines,” explained Ben Hardman, Fletcher’s coal product sales manager.

Model DDR-WT will be shown in Bluefield Coal Show booths 1611-1612.
